Timings of the school day
In the COVID-19 Situation please look at our school booked for times of the day.
The timings of the school day are slightly different for the upper and lower phases. The timings are as follows:
Year 3 and 4 school day:
08:25-08:55 – School gates open
08:40am-08:55 – Children can go into class
09:00am-09:20am – Whole school Collective Worship
09:20am-10:20am – Maths
10:20am-10:35am – Morning break
10:35am-12:00pm – English and Guided Reading
12:00pm-12:45pm – Lunch
12:45pm-2:00pm – Curricular activities
2:00pm-2:10pm – Afternoon break
2:10pm-3:15pm – Curricular activities
3:15pm – End of the school day
Year 5 and 6 school day:
08:25-08:55 – School gates open
08:40am-08:55 – Children can go into class
09:00am-09:20am – Whole school Collective Worship
09:20am-10:50am – English
10:50am-11:05am – Morning break
11:05am-12:10pm – Maths
12:10pm-12:55pm – Lunch
12:55pm-2:20pm – Curricular activities
2:20pm-2:30pm – Afternoon break
2:30pm-3:15pm – Curricular activities
3:15pm – End of the school day
Year 3 and 4 children are taken to the top playground to be dismissed at the end of the day and year 5 and 6 children are taken to the bottom playground to be dismissed at the end of the day. However, if you have a child in the lower phase and a child in the upper phase you can complete a form to give one of your children permission to walk through the school on their own and meet you on the playground of your choice. You can find the letter outside the school office or it is saved on this page. If you would like your child to walk home from school on their own, you will again need to complete a form and this can be found outside the school office or it is saved on this page. If your child is ever going to be collected by another person you must inform the school office so that the class teacher can be made aware. If the school office are not informed, your child will not be allowed to go with the person that as come to collect them and you will be contacted to find out who is supposed to be collecting your child. If your child is going to be collected by someone who isn’t on their contact list, you must let your child’s class teacher or the school office know. If you do not make the school aware, your child will not be allowed to leave the school premises until we have had contact with you. This is to keep all children safe.
