Welcome to Kennington CE Academy

Kennington CE Academy is a Church of England school and part of the Aquila Diocese of Canterbury Academies Trust.

All schools have their own distinctive ‘feel’ which makes all of us unique. We believe that the ‘special feel’ at Kennington CE Academy is to do with our caring and friendly atmosphere. We always enjoy opportunities to share the varied memories of those who have previously been associated with the school, as this emphasises just how much it means to so many people. We are keen to build on those memories with every new cohort of children we receive. Our school is continuing to develop in many exciting ways, providing quality experiences at an age appropriate level for our children.

As a Church of England school, an important part of our Vision and Values is our respect for the individual as part of the family of God. It is our aim to nurture each other, both spiritually and academically, to help us to understand and use the special talents we all have been given. We have created a very special ethos here, which is rooted in our links with St. Mary’s, our local church, and the Christian faith. This underpins our approach to education, with a strong emphasis given to supporting our children’s pastoral needs as well as their educational progress.

We are extremely proud to lead a team of talented staff who are committed to achieving high standards and providing the very best opportunities for our children. Staff, supported by Governors, work hard to deliver a rich and challenging curriculum; to prepare children for their future and to help them acquire skills and enthusiasm needed to pursue learning for the rest of their lives.

Dear Parents and Carers

Staying at home is the way to save lives and prevent unnecessary deaths.  Schools are remaining open for essential child care only, as we need to protect our staff and their households.  Your consideration and cooperation is very much appreciated.

The school is closed except for children of Key Workers and vulnerable children.

School work for all other children will be on the Year Group pages on our website and should be emailed into the year group email address. Family Liaison Officer and Senior Leadership Team are still working. They are there to help if you have food and free school meal queries, financial difficulty/debt, homework (how to encourage your child to do this), counselling (adult and child) and home support. We will continue to use the Website, Class Dojo and Facebook to keep in touch with you. Keep safe, Kennington CE Academy
