What cures did medieval people use for the black death? We had great fun in our topic lesson looking at blood, urine, bile, puss and many other revolting specimens to help us make predictions about possible cures to the plague.
Growth Mindest day-all of Year 5 were lucky enough to spend a whole day with Mr Hall thinking about how we approach learning and challenges
Today was our All Souls collective worship. Ruby and Joe got to light a candle to remember a loved one that they have lost. It is a happy day to remember great memories of special people that are no longer with us.
SPELLINGS-These are the words from the National Curriculum that children need to be able to spell by the end of Year 6. Please support your child by learning these at home.
Year 5 had a fabulous trip to Canterbury Cathedral. We looked at the symbolism of Christian worship and the differences between a Church and a Cathedral
Year 5 had great fun testing out their bomb shelters this week. Many eggs were injured in this test!
Congratulations to our bikeability children in 5 Chichester! make sure you remember all you have been taught and cycle safely.
World War 2 We were lucky enough to look at some real life artefacts from World War 2 which were lent to us by Valenteen's neighbour. We also had a cap badge bought in from Charlie Partidge and some photos from the family of Grace Ricks. This really helps to bring the learning alive, thank you
We have spent the beginning of this term planning a newspaper report about a bombing during WWII. Here is our working wall showing our learning journey over the last two weeks. We've identified features of a newspaper, gathered evidence, interviewed eye witnesses and thought about the use of formal language.Pop in on walk in Wednesday to read some.
Some of our amazing homework
Welcome to 5 Chichester- we are looking forward to a fantastic year!
