Below is the SATS maths revision book with a difference . It looks like a PDF but if you open it and click on any of the categories, it will ask you allow external content to be downloaded. It will produce some practice questions and Youtube-how-to videos for extra help. We have been using this in maths club to help our revision. Give it a go!

Today we had Dr Nikki Gammans come to visit. She is from the Bumble Bee conservation Trust. She spoke to us all in Collective Worship about the different types of bees found in Britain, how they help to pollinate our flowers and crops and how vital it is that we help to ensure the survival of our bees. As year 5 and 6 have been writing Non-chronological reports and persuasive writing about bees this week, we also had the opportunity to ask her and her trainee any questions we had about bees, and how we can help them to survive. We all were given stickers, and each year group has a poster so we can all now identify the different bee species around us. If any children want to find out any more information about bees in our local area they can use bumblebeeconservation.org as a good starting place.

Today we were visited by Karen from the Travelling Books Company. She introduced the children to just some of the wonderful books that will be on offer both this week and next week at our book fair. We found out about stories set in pre-historic times to magical beasts and aliens. There is also a range of non-fiction texts available on subjects from Leonardo De Vinci to female icons, and dinosaurs!

Hispanic Day!! This is our class from last Friday on Hispanic day. We were learning about the Day of the Dead in Gloucester's classroom - hence the decorations. We all had a great day - even though apparently the salsa making was quite hard work!!
