Safer Internet Day - Tuesday 6th February 2019 -
On Tuesday, the children of Kennington Academy took part in National Safer Internet Day. Activities included a video diary room, where children discussed where, when and how they used the internet. An interactive question board was also set up, that allowed children to respond to thought provoking questions throughout the day such as, "If you had one wish for the internet, what would it be?" Later in the week, the children were treated to a special visit from two Kent County Council Community Wardens, who delivered to age related online safety presentations. They took questions and gave out advice and trips to stay safe and happy online. Finally, the children have been given an opportunity to reflect on this week's e-safety learning by creating an information poster. These posters can be created in any way the children choose. All entries will receive a certificate and posters will be displayed around the school. The very best ones will go on our website and be sent to the Kent County Council Community Wardens.
